The Hotel Lion's Inn is located inside a working coffee plantation at the entrance of Antigua, just four blocks from Hotel Santo Domingo and some of the finest restaurants and shops in town, but away from the bustle of the town center.
The Hotel Lion's Inn is built in the Spanish-Moorish colonial style with a flowered central patio, cool arcades, and elegantly furnished rooms. From the terrace on the second floor, you can enjoy a great view of the coffee plantation and the hills surrounding Antigua, while enjoying your breakfast. The spacious lounge and elegant salon, as well as the well-stocked multilingual library are yours to enjoy.
The owner of the Lion's Inn has traveled and lived in Europe, Asia and Latin America, and has brought many unique features to this lovely inn, using local artisans for iron and woodwork, and a fine blend of European and Latin American architecture, paintings and sculptures throughout. The rustle of fountains in the two exuberant gardens and the vibrant Guatemalan textiles that accent each high ceiling-ed room will put you in the mood for exploring more of the jewel that is Antigua.
Each spacious suite at the Hotel Lion's Inn features one queen or two twin beds, a cozy fireplace, a large bathroom in the Moorish style, lovely handmade wooden furniture and local artwork. French windows open on to your own furnished garden terrace. Elegant appointments and attention to detail make these rooms some of Central America’s finest.
Step outside and get a tan on the sunny second floor terrace, stroll through the quiet of the surrounding plantation, swim in our 14 metre lap pool, relax in the comfortable lounge or salon, read an interesting book in the library, or start exploring Antigua on foot, or by horse carriage. Our installations are suitable for executive meetings, weddings, anniversaries, conferences, cultural activities, art exhibitions, musical concerts, etc.
