Tour Program (7 Days / 6 Nights)
Valid: All Year
1st Day: Arrival in Guatemala
One of our professional drivers will be waiting for you at the Airport. Overnight in Guatemala City.
2nd Day: Visit Chichi’s Market
After breakfast you will visit the popular indigenous market in Chichicastenango. This local market takes place twice a week and is an important economic engine of the Western Highlands in Guatemala. The region is known for its fertile soil, so all the vegetables and fruits are locally grown. You will also find all type of textiles, handmade crafts, second-hand utensils, and local traditional food. Besides this special attribute, Chichi is known for its important Mayan history. A 400-year old church was built over ancient Mayan ruins during the Colonial times. Even though the old pre-hispanic structures are nowhere to be found, a special vibe remains in this place – you will experience the fusion of Mayan rituals with traditional practices of the Catholic church. Live both sides of the story – visit the catholic church in the middle of the market, and a Mayan ceremonial place in the suburbs of the village. Overnight in Lake Atitlan.
3rd Day: Atitlan's Villages
Today you will discover the marvels that make Lake Atitlan such a special place. Your local guide will pick you up at your hotel and you will visit two villages on the shores of the Lake. Santiago Atitlan is popular for the syncretism practiced in town and San Juan La Laguna offers several workshops that will keep you entertained during your visit. Overnight in Lake Atitlan.
4th Day: Atitlan – Antigua
Transfer to Antigua where your local guide will be waiting for you to start sharing the secrets of this stunning colonial town. You will be part of a walking tour through the beautiful cobble stone streets of Antigua. Guarded by three majestic volcanoes, Antigua treasures an incredible history where the colonization period started over 500 years ago. Chic restaurants, antique cafés and a hype atmosphere awaits for you. After lunch, you will visit San Antonio Aguas Calientes; a unique village that treasures one of the best weaving techniques in Guatemala. Overnight in Antigua.
5th Day: Tikal Excursion
Early transfer to La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City to take a 45-minute flight to Tikal. Again, your local guide will be waiting for you to start your jungle expedition to one of the most important Mayan cities of all times – Tikal, the place of the voices. Overnight in Peten.
