1st Day: Arrival in Guatemala, Overnight in Antigua
EnjoyGuatemala welcomes you the El Mundo Maya, the beautiful land of lakes, volcanoes and ancient Mayan Culture. Upon arrival at the International Airport of Guatemala City, one of our drivers will wait for you at the exit of the airport to transfer you to your hotel in Antigua. Overnight in Antigua.

2nd Day: Antigua
Enjoy breakfast, then your guide will meet you for a city tour of Antigua. Enormous churches monasteries and colonial mansions from the 17/18th century line the city’s cobblestone streets. UNESCO declared Antigua patrimony to mankind. The guided tour also includes visits to The Merced Church, Central Plaza, Casa Kojom (coffee and Music Museum), Ciudad Vieja and Aguas calientes. Lunch at a local restaurant in the heart of Antigua. Late afternoon at your leisure or walk the streets and visit the markets in search of handmade cloths, weavings and crafts. Overnight in Antigua.

3rd Day: Antigua / Chichicastenango
Morning drive into the Altiplano (highlands) of Guatemala. Chichicastenango is home to one of the most spectacular and traditional markets in the Americas. The market is operational on Thursdays and Sundays starting at 8:00 am. There you will see and have a chance to buy impressive handicraft souvenirs. Visit the 400 year old Santo Tomas Church, where Catholic and pagan rites take place side by side in a truly mystic atmosphere. On the steps, people praying burn copal incense. Once inside the church, they offer candles and flowers to the souls of the departed, while they call on the saints and the lords of all the natural forces. After lunch you will be transferred to Panajachel on Lake Atitlan where you will have the rest of the afternoon and the evening at leisure. Overnight in Panajachel, 5000 feet above sea level!

4th Day: Atitlan/Guatemala City
Today you will have an excursion by boat to Santiago, a typical Mayan village. Crossing Lake Atitlan you will see the three volcanoes San Pedro, Toliman and Atitlan that are dominating the landscape. Santiago is known for the quality and beauty of its textile products. In the afternoon, you will return to Guatemala City. Overnight in Guatemala City.

5th Day: Peten / Tikal Excursion
Fly into the heart of the Guatemalan jungle to the Maya monuments and pyramids of Tikal. In this remote area, one of the greatest civilizations of its time built a city that lasted for centuries. The site of Tikal is in a national park where the native flora and fauna still flourish relatively undisturbed. Hundreds of species of birds, including toucans and macaws, can easily be seen, as can spider and howler monkeys as they glide through the dense vegetation. After lunch at the ruins you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Peten.

6th Day: Peten / Guatemala City
After your breakfast you can explore the Mayan Ruins on your own If you are staying at Jungle Lodge or Tikal Inn (both are inside of the National Park of Tikal), or just relax and enjoy of the wonderful environment and the greats views of the Lake Peten Itza if you are staying at Camino Real Tikal (located at the Natural Reserve of Cerro Cahui). In the afternoon you will be transferred to Flores Airport to take your flight back to Guatemala City. Overnight in Guatemala City.

7th Day: Guatemala / Pacific Coast
After a short city tour of Guatemala City you will start your way to Chulamar, from the Highlands down to the Pacific Coast. This coastal region boasts a much different landscape compared to what you have seen in the days before. Overnight at the oceanfront Hotel Soleil Pacifico (All Inclusive Plan).

8th Day: Beach, Free Day!
Today you will enjoy the beach of Chulamar with its volcanic sands and the warm and pleasant waters of the Pacific Ocean along with the installations of the hotel (All Inclusive plan).

9th Day: Free Day / Guatemala City
After Lunch we will transfer you back to your hotel in Guatemala City. Overnight Guatemala City.

10th Day: Departure Guatemala City
Your tour ends this morning at your hotel in Guatemala. EnjoyGuatemala provides transfers throughout the day to the Guatemala City airport. Thanks for vacationing with EnjoyGuatemala. ¡Hasta luego!
